Emissaries of the Aldebaran Circle, Ginnungagap, emerge from the bowels of the earth to the solemn majesty of these shadowy hymns, wreathed in sulphurous vapours and a glow of ominous doom; an audio totem to the stars, moon, the forests and frozen wastes. A refined rawness characters this album, and an ancient mystic euphoria pervades the senses as the album slowly lurches in an intoxicated psychedelic miasma of exquisite melody and suppurating rhythms; pulsing, flowing, oozing and swelling, expanding and contracting as this march of ornate atmosphere proceeds its stately pace.
